The more complete your profile, the higher your sustainability score and the more likely buyers find you.

  • Logo + cover — visual recognition for buyers

  • EOID + Facility ID — required by ESPR Art. 9(3) for DPP publish
  • Active categories — textile / leather / footwear (multi-category needs Pro plan)

  3. They see your DPPs immediately. Their comments appear in Action Required.

Getting started as a buying house agent

What is the agent role?

Buying-house agents (Tristate, Li & Fung, Pacific Rim, etc.) historically connect EU buyers with BD factories and oversee quality. On DPP Bangladesh, you act as a compliance coach — read DPPs of factories you represent and leave comments to help them stay ESPR-ready.

You can: read DPPs, leave comments (info / suggestion / warning severity).

You cannot: edit DPPs, publish, or approve. Factory keeps full control. Buyers don't see your comments.

1. Sign up

  1. Homepage → Register → role 🤝 Buying House Agent.
  2. Buying house name (e.g. "Tristate Sourcing") + admin email + password.
  3. Verify email → buying house org auto-created.

2. Get factory access

Factories invite you by email — you cannot self-invite. Tell each factory you work with to:

  1. Login to their dashboard → Buying Agents+ Invite Agent.
  2. Enter your email → click Grant Access.
  3. Their DPPs appear instantly in your DPPs page.

3. Leave compliance comments

  1. Open a DPP from your DPPs list.
  2. Scroll right panel → Add Comment.
  3. Pick severity:
    • ℹ️ Info — neutral observation
    • 💡 Suggestion — recommend improvement (e.g., "Add fiber origin field")
    • ⚠️ Warning — compliance gap (e.g., "GOTS cert expiring; renew before publish")
  4. Submit. Factory team sees it in their Action Required section.
  5. Factory marks Resolved when fixed.

4. Public showcase page

Every buying house gets a public page at /public/buying-house.html?slug=your-slug showing the factories you represent and your portfolio's aggregate stats. Share this link with EU buyers as proof of your network.

General questions

About ESPR

What is ESPR and when does it apply?

ESPR = EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation 2024/1781 (in force July 2024, delegated acts roll out by category 2027–2030).

Every product sold in the EU must have a Digital Product Passport (DPP) with sustainability + circularity data accessible via QR code or Digital Link.

Textiles deadline: 2027–2028 mandatory for new products. Bangladesh exporters need to be DPP-ready before then.

What data goes into a DPP?

Per ESPR Annex II + textile delegated act:

  • Product identifier (UPID + GTIN)
  • Manufacturer EOID + Facility ID
  • Fibre composition (with origin)
  • Country of manufacture
  • Care symbols (ISO 3758/GINETEX)
  • Carbon footprint (kg CO₂eq, ISO 14067)
  • Recycled content split (input/output, post-consumer/industrial)
  • Durability + repairability scores
  • End-of-life instructions
  • Chemicals used + SVHC declaration (REACH)
  • Certifications (GOTS, BSCI, OEKO-TEX, etc.)
What is CSDDD?

CSDDD = Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (2024/1760). Requires EU companies (and large non-EU companies trading in EU) to identify and address human rights + environmental risks across their supply chain.

Buyers on DPP Bangladesh use the CSDDD Report page to auto-generate compliance reports from their watchlist + DPP access + audit history.

Technical

Why does QR code go to /public/qr-view.html?

Every published DPP gets a permanent public URL like /public/qr-view.html?upid=BD-XXXXXXX. The QR code embeds this URL. Anyone scanning it (consumer, customs officer, recycler) sees the DPP without login.

What is a UPID?

UPID = Unique Product Identifier. Format: BD-XXXXXXXXXXXX (BD prefix + 12-char base36 from UUIDv4). Globally unique, never recycled. Used in QR codes and EU central registry submissions.

What is GS1 Digital Link?

Standard URL format for product data: https://yourdomain/01/{GTIN}. ESPR-friendly because it uses the existing GTIN barcode infrastructure. We support both UPID URLs and GS1 Digital Link redirects.

Is my data secure?

JWT tokens (15-min access + 30-day refresh, scrypt-hashed passwords), 2FA available, HTTPS everywhere, audit log on every action, CSRF defense on state-changing requests, R2 file storage with signed URLs. Cloudflare DDoS protection. Worker rate limits per endpoint.

Production data stays in EU/US Cloudflare regions. We never sell user data — we're a SaaS, not an ad platform.
