DPP vs EUDR — What's the Difference?
They answer different questions. The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR, 2023/1115) asks: did this commodity come from deforested land? It covers cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood — cotton is not listed — and demands a due diligence statement with plot-level geolocation. The Digital Product Passport (ESPR, 2024/1781) asks: what is this product and what is it made of? — a structured, scannable data record per product. Different instruments, one shared foundation: verified origin data.

Collect Origin Once — Answer Every Law
EUDR asks for plots, the DPP asks for products, your buyers ask for both. A factory that captures verified origin data at intake never scrambles for either filing. That pipeline is exactly what DPPLive builds on the factory side.
